SUMMARY:One-Day Retreat with the Scholé Sisters
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday January 24\, 2026 from 8:45am – 5:00pm in Buford\, GA for a day of encouragement\, refreshment\, and connection with local homeschooling moms! \n\n\n\nThis one-day retreat is perfect for new and seasoned homeschooling moms of all backgrounds. Mothers with children who are not yet school-aged have also said they love these retreats.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll have small group discussion\, lunch\, and time for personal reflection. These retreats are always full of biblical encouragement\, inspiration\, and practical takeaways–and midwinter always feels like the perfect time to pause\, reflect\, and connect.  \n\n\n\nThis Year’s Theme: Curriculum\n\n\n\nScholé Sisters podcast hosts and popular conference speakers Mystie Winkler\, Brandy Vencel\, and Abby Wahl will provide recorded video talks aimed to encourage and equip.   \n\n\n\nThis year’s theme is Curriculum–curriculum defined as your path\, your family culture\, and you modeling being an educated person in front of your kids.  \n\n\n\nFrom The Scholé Sisters’ website: “What we believe about curriculum: Curriculum is formative. We want that for ourselves.  \n\n\n\nHow can stories help us toward these ends? \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday July 26th in Buford\, GA from 9am-12:30pm for a morning of fellowship\, biblical encouragement\, and thoughtful conversation around the topic: Story.  \n\n\n\nSpeakers Elizabeth Bailey and Sara Fragoso will explore questions like:  \n\n\n\n\nHow do stories shape our children’s affections\, loyalties\, and imaginations? \n\n\n\nWhy read aloud & how to do it in different seasons of life? \n\n\n\nHow can we help our kids think biblically about what they read? \n\n\n\nHow can stories help us in parenting? \n\n\n\nHow does understanding God’s stories enrich our homes?\n\n\n\n\nFollowing our speakers’ talks\, we’ll have a Q & A time with a panel of seasoned moms. Embracing a biblical view of beauty in our world\, our homes\, and ourselves can shape our affections\, teaching us to love what God loves.  \n\n\n\nA biblical and robust view of beauty can help us build more peaceful\, joyful\, and beautiful home cultures—and homeschools.* \n\n\n\nIn our time together\, we’ll explore questions like: \n\n\n\n\nHow do we define beauty and why does it matter?\n\n\n\nHow can we cultivate a love of the beauty of creation and incorporate it into our homes and homeschools?\n\n\n\nHow can we become more beautiful women and wives and mothers?
